A solution was required for the conveyor system of a prefabricated house manufacturer to safely transport wall elements over existing system components. At the same time, free walkways and traffic routes within the production area had to be maintained. Additionally, the conveyor technology needed to be maintenance-friendly and safely accessible.
Our solution
BKLS developed a custom steel platform to accommodate various conveyor segments for transporting and turning wall elements. By elevating the conveyor line, existing production areas as well as walkways and traffic routes could continue to be used without restriction.
The structure was specifically designed to meet the requirements of the conveyor technology and executed as fully accessible. The entire platform can be safely reached via an integrated maintenance ladder. Additionally, a safety shutdown ensures that ongoing operations are automatically stopped when the platform is accessed.
