BKLS systems

for packing products into cartons or trays

In end-of-line packaging technology, BKLS supplies systems for packing products into cartons or trays. For this purpose, customer-specific gripper tools are developed in combination with robot cells, e.g. for packing shampoo bottles or spray cans. These are either new machines or adaptations of existing machines and tools. A high degree of automation as well as sensitive handling of delicate goods and surfaces must always be taken into account. As part of such projects, single- or multi-lane systems also need to be connected with each other. For this purpose, BKLS builds and develops special screw or diverter systems for distributing the products.

Another component in this segment is carton and tray erecting tools, which are developed specifically for the requirement.

Frequently asked questions about end-of-line packaging technology

What is meant by end-of-line packaging technology?

End-of-line packaging technology includes automated systems for packing, grouping, feeding and handling products at the end of a production process. The aim is to efficiently pack products into cartons, trays or shipping packaging and make them available for storage, shipping or further processing.

Which applications is BKLS end-of-line packaging technology suitable for?

BKLS systems are suitable, among other things, for:

  • Carton packaging
  • Tray packaging
  • Product grouping
  • Carton handling
  • Material flow systems
  • Packaging lines
  • Robot-assisted packaging processes

Custom solutions are developed for different products and packaging requirements.

Which products can be processed with the packaging systems?

BKLS end-of-line packaging technology is suitable, for example, for:

  • Shampoo bottles
  • Spray cans
  • Containers
  • Packaging units
  • Consumer goods
  • Cosmetic products
  • Customer-specific products

The systems are adapted to product dimensions, packaging types and cycle rates.

What are the advantages of automated end-of-line packaging?

Automated packaging systems offer numerous advantages:

  • higher packaging output
  • reduced manual work steps
  • consistent packaging quality
  • higher process reliability
  • lower error rates
  • more efficient production processes
  • better integration into existing material flows

This makes packaging processes more economical and reliable.

Can robot cells be integrated into end-of-line packaging?

Yes. BKLS develops customer-specific gripper tools in combination with robot cells for automated packaging processes. This allows products to be picked up precisely, grouped and placed into cartons or trays.

What are pick-and-place systems in end-of-line packaging technology?

Pick-and-place systems are automated handling solutions in which products are picked up, positioned and placed into packaging. This technology is often used in combination with robots to enable high cycle rates and precise packaging processes.

Can existing packaging systems be modernized or expanded?

Yes. In addition to new systems, BKLS also adapts existing machines, tools and packaging systems. This allows existing systems to be adapted to new products, packaging or production requirements.

Can products be distributed and merged automatically?

Yes. BKLS develops special screw and diverter systems to distribute, merge or specifically feed products on single- or multi-lane systems to individual packaging processes. This enables complex material flows to be controlled efficiently.

What are carton and tray erecting systems?

Carton and tray erecting systems automatically form packaging from flat blanks and make it available for the subsequent packaging process. The systems are customized to the product, packaging format and production output.
